Unpacking Photo Art: A Work Comes Into the Room

UNPACKING PHOTOKUNST

Photographic art and collecting Written by André Wagner

I would like to use this blog post to thank the readers of my site and friends of my photography for the numerous participations in my survey “Natural Spectacle”.

I hope that each of the participants has been delighted with my publication Visions of Time and finds a pleasing insight into my metaphysical visions of time and space. The publication contains real (light) situations that become picturesque poetic images through long-term exposures. The contrast and contradiction in human existence is highlighted in the publication of my photography, also published as a bound edition.

I put all of the entries in a baked lottery under the professional supervision of my little daughter, and she acted as a lottery and found the lucky winner:

I am very pleased that Frank from Chemnitz received my work of art “Jökulsárlòn Glacier Lagoon 1” in the size 40 × 54 cm with the edition 2/7 with a value of 1,700 EUR as the main prize. In his EMS fitness studio “NEOGYM” in Chemnitz, my work will find a worthy place in the future. The work of art was created in the place of the same name in Iceland and, like all my photographic productions, places nature, time and spirituality in a contradictory but fitting connection. Through his Youtube channel “Neogym Chemnitz”, Frank has made an “unpacking” video to his profit and directly reveal the place it adorns in the future.

My survey was about destiny, magic, art and time.

Frank's answers were very inspiring. Especially in today's fast-paced time, it flies without us being able to appreciate the preciousness of the moments and moments. He describes that time on this earth is limited and should therefore be used meaningfully and consciously. In this context, conscious means willingly taking some of this precious time for dear people around us. But we can not only take time, but also give. For example, in the form of a 3-day trip to Karlovy Vary, which Frank gave his mother for the 80th birthday.

Art thrives on interpretation and the fact that it cannot be fixed in one direction. Art is a snapshot of our feelings and the artist’s emotions.Where do you think the land or forest is, which could not be more magical? Magic is where we create and recognize it, so our winner Frank can't or doesn't want to define the exact location. The current mood, our feelings and openness to interpretation are critical to magic in a place.

With EUR 5,000 for a work of art, Frank would acquire something that fits into his living environment such as his office or house and would still be an eye-catcher. In the hope of having fulfilled this need with my photograph “Jökulsárlòn Glacier Lagoon 1”, I congratulate warmly.
