Reflections of India
Am hauptbahnhof in neu-dehli, Indien
A closer look at the work
Large bundles secured with rope are stacked on a low trolley. Their irregular edges stand against a busy station interior. People appear beside and behind the load, while cool bluish light holds the scene together. Horizontal traces contrast with the almost solid block of luggage; the wheel makes its height tangible.
Transport becomes visible through objects and their handling. The trolley resembles a mobile still life, but the figures at its edges point to work and circulation. Stations carry more than passengers: their loads also shape the organisation of space.
