Berlin prinzenstrasse, Deutschland

A closer look at the work
A junction opens in several directions beneath an elevated railway. Its heavy beam forms a dark axis above the viewpoint. Broad curves of traffic light cross the foreground and intersect vertical façades. Glass and illuminated windows keep side buildings visible while vehicle bodies lose closed form in movement.
Berlin Prinzenstraße presents infrastructure as overlapping levels. A fixed route runs above while traffic describes changing paths below. Photographic duration lets those paths remain as drawing. The junction becomes both built space and a record of use, revealing how repeated movements temporarily emphasise and alter spatial order.
