Reflections of India
Blue street corner, Indien
2011
A closer look at the work
Blue walls frame a narrow curved lane. Dark patches of missing plaster mark the left, while a deep arch lies in shadow on the right. A bright curved trace follows the route into warmer space beyond. Cables cross upper façades and irregular paving divides the nearby ground.
Blue Street Corner joins precisely described surfaces to a trace whose moving origin is no longer visible. The curve of light repeats and emphasises the lane’s course, directing attention beyond what can be seen. Built enclosure meets temporal movement: the space remains fixed while a past passage survives within it as light.
