Time Flies
Catwalk, Deutschland
A closer look at the work
Two long rows of seats flank a narrow open aisle. Occupied areas become soft overlapping yellow forms, while chairs and the dark runway remain clearer. A bright-blue lighting structure spans the hall above. Pale rectangular panels stand at the far end against darkness.
Catwalk directs attention to space prepared for a possible presentation. The empty central route gains weight from its crowded sides. Audience movement becomes visible without fixing individuals. Public attention appears as an arrangement of seeing and being seen: the runway stays open as a field of expectation while those along its edges establish its conditions.
