Reflections of India
Pilgrim on Purple Dust 11, Indien
2014
A closer look at the work
Two women walking close together occupy the centre in differently patterned green, blue and dark clothing. One hand rises towards the head while the other figure holds her arms closer. Pink ground shows between their feet.
The raised viewpoint makes gesture and fabric clearly legible. Shared direction connects distinct postures. Proximity becomes visible through spacing and parallel movement without establishing a personal relationship or claiming access to either person's feelings.
