The Infrared Journey
Cosmic crown: over the sheikh zayed grand mosque
2023
A closer look at the work
A large pink-red circle stands above dark dome silhouettes. A diffuse white centre and bright rim face turquoise sky, with small rays extending outward. The central dome's fine tip links low architecture to expansive brightness.
Circle and dome share a formal resemblance without becoming equivalent. Material silhouettes remain below; light forms above. Unequal scale turns architecture into the dark base of a larger appearance. The view invites consideration of proportion and visibility through form, without claiming a spiritual meaning for the light.
