Reflections of India
Dschungle west bengal, Indien

A closer look at the work
A dark foreground trunk divides the narrow vertical image. Behind it, light passes diagonally through dense leaves towards low plants. Some broad leaves have clear contours; others dissolve into brightness. Warm and cool greens establish successive layers.
The forest becomes a space of filtered vision. No straight open route leads through it; the eye chooses between trunk, leaf and illuminated gap. Bright areas offer temporary points of orientation, while what remains concealed contributes equally to the experience.
