A closer look at the work
A low broken ice form lies before brown shore. Bluish folds and small peaks reflect almost completely in calm water. Grey clouds fill the upper plane and repeat their colour below. Sparse surroundings clarify fine differences within ice.
Reflection nearly closes an irregular form into one body. Water divides without fully separating it. Above, cracks and edges remain material; below they become appearance. Comparison reveals their different status. Apparent permanence depends on a calm surface whose stillness is itself only a bounded condition.
