A closer look at the work
A low ice landscape rests above reflective water. A blue peak rises near the centre beside a steep dark-brown face, doubled below as a strong accent. Smaller forms remain left; ice extends more flatly right.
The dark section anchors restrained colour without requiring an explanation of its origin. Reflection strengthens it while complicating spatial reading. Upper and lower resemble each other under different material conditions. One small interruption of brightness organises an extensive view, held in quiet doubleness.
