Reflections of India
Fullmoon in vrindavan, Indien
2014
A closer look at the work
Flat roofs, walls and small structures extend across a broad panorama. A few pale towers rise above dense buildings. Warmly lit areas alternate with blue shadows beneath an evenly dark sky. The elevated viewpoint reveals neighbouring spaces without exposing their interiors.
Fullmoon in Vrindavan describes the city through its less frequently considered upper layer. Roofs become surfaces with connections, edges and small obstacles. Overview preserves limits to knowledge: visible proximity does not explain life behind walls. The image holds inhabited density, distinguishing individual spaces through light while connecting them through the shared view.
