A closer look at the work
A made bed occupies most of a blue-lit room. A tall curtained window stands behind it; a small rectangular screen glows inside a dark cabinet on the right. A picture, lamp and long cushion add further accents. No one is visible, yet the furnishings clearly anticipate human occupation.
Hot Wish presents private space in an impersonal order. Bed and window suggest rest and contact with outside, while cool light holds both at a distance. The unreadable screen adds another small opening. The photograph considers temporary dwelling: a prepared room has not yet become attached to a particular life through visible personal traces.
