A closer look at the work
The narrow frame leads across a dark floor scattered with remnants towards a window. Black wall drawings surround its bright opening, while damaged ceiling surfaces close the room above. The clouds acquire depth through their dark frame. Floor, window and ceiling establish one slender axis through the interior.
This outlook includes the conditions that make it possible. The sky is seen from a particular, materially marked place. Empty floor areas suggest possible use without explaining it. Distance meets traces of immediate proximity, reminding us that even an open window does not abolish the viewer's position.
