A closer look at the work
Stone figures and upright forms stand on a low irregular base among trees. Warm light catches a larger figure left of centre. Small red, white and green objects punctuate darker stone below. Crowded shadowed depth gathers attention first around nearby details.
Differences in scale create successive focuses, from the tall figure to small objects below. Their proximity suggests human attention without determining its acts or meanings. Forest frames and enters the arrangement. The image preserves multiple individual presences rather than reducing them to a single symbol or general mood.
