A closer look at the work

A reclining body extends through a very wide dark frame. A bent leg forms a lighter peak near the centre; head and torso recede into reddish shadow on the right. Rectangular fields isolate green, pink and yellow sections. Broad dark areas interrupt continuity, preventing a single comprehensive glance.

The raised knee introduces tension into horizontal repose. It changes direction within a resting form and supplies bodily scale. Coloured fragments act as unequal points of access: some parts emerge while others nearly disappear. A body can be perceived as a whole even when visible information is widely spaced and divided by darkness.

Personal consultation

The work, the space, the presentation.

What interests you about this work? I take time for your questions, its origins and its place in a collection. Together, we explore differences between works and their relationship with space, light and architecture.

Size, selected materials and bespoke framing are carefully coordinated. The precise presentation develops through our conversation.

A photograph of the intended space can help us consider scale and placement.
