A closer look at the work
A tightly gathered seated figure appears against near-black ground. Its back glows blue, with a pale rectangle across shoulder and neck. The head stays dark; arms recede into weaker colour zones. Large dark rectangles surround the body, allowing its curve to emerge from a deep field.
Attention concentrates on the continuous blue back as a form of cohesion. The pale shoulder interrupts it and reveals the lighting order. Bodily unity and geometric division remain intertwined. With face and surroundings withholding information, posture does not become a narrated situation. Its possible meaning arises through distance, darkness and limited light.
