Authentic Nature
Red Forest, Deutschland
2010
A closer look at the work
A woodland area is saturated with red and orange. Slender trunks rise from red ground, with green and turquoise zones on the right. Bright branches gather centrally, emerging against dark edges like adjacent rooms of colour.
Colour organises the forest more clearly than a path. Familiar plants retain physical definition, while their setting becomes a series of light fields. Grown structure meets chromatic staging, creating divisions that need not correspond to natural boundaries.
