Authentic Nature
Scottish Highlands 3, Scotland
2018
A closer look at the work
A broad snowy slope rises from left to right beneath warm yellow brightness near the left edge. Dark grass and scattered snow remain below. Rather than an isolated summit, the mountain presents one continuous inclined surface.
Attention shifts from peak to slope. Light and snow connect sky with terrain, anchored by dark ground. A few broad relationships create openness, allowing the landscape to feel continuous beyond both sides of the frame.
