A closer look at the work
Empty beach chairs stand in loose rows on dark sand. Their pink sides contrast with blue water, while an illuminated pier extends from the left into the distance. Long pale streaks divide the sky; the compact shelters give the foreground a more tangible structure.
Two forms of looking coexist: individual seats facing the sea and a pier leading outward. With nobody occupying the chairs, their arrangement becomes the subject. Leisure appears as a spatial order that remains visible even in the absence of its users.
