A closer look at the work
A single tree leans against a sky of blue, violet and pink. Its trunk and fine branches form a dark silhouette. A glow gathers behind the crown, while the low horizon leaves ample open space above. The ground offers few details.
Sound names an audible phenomenon, yet the photograph works through visible variations of colour and line. The branches suggest irregular extensions of movement without specifying any actual sound. The title opens a connection between different senses rather than describing a documented event.
