A pink light circle fills the upper and middle darkness. Its centre is broad and bright, its rim finely drawn. A small blue-green water area lies below among black branches and shore forms. Landscape remains fragmentary beside the closed circle.
Branches supply a near position while the circle resists a fixed distance. Water forms an intermediate zone. Sharp silhouette, faint reflection and extended light create several levels of visibility, none fully explaining the others. Landscape orientation arises through relations among luminous surfaces as much as through objects.
