A closer look at the work
Broad white road stripes lead towards densely lit façades. Signs of many sizes run vertically and horizontally. People gather at the crossing: nearby faces remain clearer while other bodies soften into traces. Only a narrow dark sky opens above. Directions and signals fill the frame.
The city addresses people at several scales simultaneously. Large luminous planes meet individual bodies crossing ordered ground lines. Competing signs prevent attention from resting. The photograph preserves that competition without reducing it to one message. Persistent façades and transient people make public space perceptible through continual overlap.
