A closer look at the work
A carefully shaped tree stands behind a pale roadside barrier. Its stepped green crowns occupy the vertical centre, with a slender illuminated tower behind it to the right. A leaning pole adds another diagonal against the pinkish sky.
Tree, pole and tower offer different ways of rising through the image. Proximity gives the tree more physical presence than the distant architecture. The shift in scale makes an ordinary foreground an active partner to the landmark rather than decorative framing.
