A closer look at the work

A pale Jaguar stands side-on in a paved courtyard. Its low bonnet extends far to the right; the rounded cabin and tapering rear keep the contour low. Dark tyres and fine spokes establish two firm points of support. Large trees and a rectilinear building behind emphasise the car’s long line.

The title dates the vehicle to 1966. A shape designed for movement meets the visible stillness of a parked object. Paving gives it weight while the bodywork leads the eye sideways. The photograph can be read as a study of designed speed: velocity is absent as action but remains present as a promise within a stationary form.

Personal consultation

The work, the space, the presentation.

What interests you about this work? I take time for your questions, its origins and its place in a collection. Together, we explore differences between works and their relationship with space, light and architecture.

Size, selected materials and bespoke framing are carefully coordinated. The precise presentation develops through our conversation.

A photograph of the intended space can help us consider scale and placement.
