The Infrared Journey — Somewhere in Between
Berlin, Between Frequencies
Artwork text and archival details
Berlin appears suspended between the visible and the unseen.
Photographed in infrared from high above the city, familiar architecture is transformed into a landscape of violet shadows and trees glowing like embers. Streets, courtyards and façades form a dense human geometry, while nature moves through it as radiant veins of light.
The image reveals a Berlin that exists beyond ordinary perception: silent, complex and strangely alive. What seems permanent—the architecture, the order of the city—is only a temporary structure. Light passes over it, seasons alter it, and time slowly rewrites every surface.
*Berlin, Between Frequencies* is a meditation on perception and impermanence. The city remains the same, yet the act of seeing changes everything.
