Artwork text and archival details

In many spiritual traditions, the sun has long been a symbol of life, creation, and divine energy. It represents the source of all existence, offering light, warmth, and growth to everything it touches. In this image, the sun does more than illuminate—it forms a perfect halo around the stone cross, merging the earthly and the heavenly in a moment of ethereal beauty.

The cross, a symbol of faith and sacrifice, stands grounded in stone, while the radiant halo above signifies transcendence, eternal life, and the divine presence. The sun's halo encircling the cross is a reminder of the connection between the physical and spiritual realms—a visual metaphor for enlightenment, hope, and the eternal power of light over darkness.

As the cross reaches toward the heavens, bathed in this golden glow, it suggests that the divine is ever-present, radiating through the ordinary and infusing it with sacred meaning. "Cross of Light" invites the viewer to contemplate the union of light, life, and faith—a moment where the spiritual significance of the sun becomes a bridge between the material world and the infinite.
